Dr Gabrielli is an Associate Professor at The University of Queensland Diamantina Institute at where he runs the Cell Cycle Group. He has a long standing interest in the mechanisms that control G2/M phase progression and checkpoint responses, and is exploring ways of using defective G2 phase checkpoints in cancer, particularly melanoma, as therapeutic targets.
