Dr Ahern is a Medical Oncologist dedicated to improving outcomes for cancer patients through immune-oncology research. She works clinically at Monash Health in neuro-oncology, lung cancer and phase one clinical trials and is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Monash University. She has a PhD in preclincial immunotherapy research from Queensland Institute of Medical Research where she is now a visiting scientist. Dr Ahern is a principal investigator on national investigator-initiated studies on neoadjuvant immunotherapy for lung cancer and the immunological correlates of COVID-19 vaccines in cancer patients.
