In her role as Laboratory Manager, Verity oversees the day-to-day operations of the Precision Medicine Theme’s large PC2 Laboratory on level 5 north of the iconic SAHMRI building, ensuring it is a functional, well-equipped, safe and harmonious working environment for the researchers. As a Clinical Research Scientist within the Leukaemia Research Group since 2001, Verity processes haematopoietic samples collected on various chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML) and acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) clinical study protocols and manages an extensive ultracold and cryogenic collection of clinical specimens for research. Additionally, Verity is involved with a number of research projects, provides technical assistance to post-doctoral researchers and contributes to manuscripts for scientific publication.
