Dr Andrew J. Woo is a molecular biologist specialising in transcriptional gene regulation and its roles in blood disorders, cancer, and stem cell biology. He earned a BSc (Hons) and a PhD in Biochemistry from The University of Western Australia, followed by postdoctoral training at Boston Children’s Hospital/Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School.
He is a Lecturer in Biomedical Sciences in the School of Medical and Health Sciences and is concurrently based at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research at the University of Western Australia. Dr Woo leads innovative projects in stem cells and cancer, integrating research discoveries into his teaching and mentorship of emerging scientists.
