Roderik Kortlever
The Francis Crick Institute, , United Kingdom
- This delegate is presenting an abstract at this event.
Roderik obtained his PhD in the lab of René Bernards at the Netherlands Cancer Institute in Amsterdam, where he uncovered microenvironmental control by oncogenes and tumour suppressors. He pursued his post-doctoral studies in the lab of Gerard Evan - first in San Francisco, then at the University of Cambridge, and currently at the Crick in London. He discovered that oncogenic Myc collaborates with KRas in lung tumour progression by directly programming inflammation and immune suppression. His current research aims to elucidate the mechanisms driving tumour regression through the interplay of Myc, homeostatic immunity, and tissue regeneration.
