Kiarash finished his PhD in the field of cancer genetics at the University of Western Australia. During his PhD, he was able to develop a gene signature using the genetically diverse mouse model that could accurately predict the survival of human mesothelioma patients. He is currently a postdoc cancer scientist and bioinformatician in the blood cancer biomarker group at Monash University. His current research focuses on identifying genomic markers that inform disease risk, prognosis, and clinical outcomes in haematological malignancies.
